Gerente de Justicia y Política Climática
Lidera la agenda relacionada con las transiciones justas y co-lidera los esfuerzos en torno a la mitigación a nivel nacional y regional. En el marco de esta posición, su labor incluye supervisar la ejecución de proyectos relacionados con la transición energética justa y la mitigación del cambio climático.
Durante su tiempo en ICM, Ana Sofía ha sido la responsable del desarrollo de investigaciones, capacitaciones y propuestas en materia de prácticas, regulación y políticas públicas destinadas a promover una transición energética inclusiva, participativa y transparente. Adicionalmente, ha supervisado y contribuido al diseño de instrumentos de política climática tanto a nivel nacional como subnacional, y ha integrado enfoques de justicia, género y derechos humanos en una variedad de proyectos. Como representante de ICM, Ana Sofía participa en espacios multiactor a nivel nacional y regional, contribuyendo a la mitigación del cambio climático a través de redes y alianzas estratégicas.
Antes de unirse a ICM, Ana Sofía colaboró con el Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos de la Universidad de California, Berkeley, y llevó a cabo consultorías para diversas instituciones, incluyendo el Consulado General de México en San Francisco, Berkeley-Darfur Stoves y Oxfam U.S.A. Previamente, trabajó en el Senado de la República, desempeñando el rol de asesora en asuntos de política latinoamericana.
Ana Sofía tiene Maestría en Prácticas para el Desarrollo otorgada por la Universidad de California, Berkeley, y cuenta con una licenciatura en Relaciones Internacionales obtenida en el Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).

Ana Sofía Tamborrel Signoret holds the position of Justice and Climate Policy Manager, where she spearheads the agenda concerning just transitions and collaboratively leads initiatives for national and regional mitigation strategies. In this capacity, her responsibilities encompass supervising the execution of projects centered around a just energy transition and addressing climate change.
Throughout her time at ICM, Ana Sofía has been tasked with developing research, delivering training, and formulating proposals pertaining to practices, regulations, and public policies aimed at fostering an inclusive, participatory, and transparent energy transition. Moreover, she has overseen and contributed to the formulation of climate policy instruments on both national and subnational levels, infusing justice, gender, and human rights considerations into an array of projects. As a representative of ICM, Ana Sofía actively engages in multi-stakeholder arenas at both national and regional levels, making contributions to climate change mitigation through networks and strategic partnerships.
Before joining ICM, Ana Sofía collaborated with the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and conducted consultancies for diverse institutions, including the Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco, Berkeley-Darfur Stoves, and Oxfam U.S.A. Previously, she worked in the Senate of the Republic, providing expertise on matters related to Latin American policy.
Ana Sofía holds a Master’s degree in Development Practices from the University of California, Berkeley, and possesses a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
